Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics
American Manifesto has an article up about how the Bradiacs calculate the annual cost of “gun violence.” As usual, it is 10% reality and 90% bogus.
Two points here:
- When your opponents have to lie over and over again to make ground…it’s a good thing. We are winning.
- There is no such thing as gun violence. There is violence…and it is sometimes committed with a gun. But “gun violence” is one of those made up terms, like “assault weapon” or “Saturday night special”. It’s designed to control language, and thus the terms of the debate.
Well that explains it
Guess we know why I got “Server too busy” when I tried to donate to McCain-Palin.
Palinmania: McCain raises $7 million since VP announcement
More on Palin
So while Obama goes off about how we can just abort our “mistake” children, Palin raises her baby with down syndrome while her Eskimo husband works a blue collar job in the oil fields. While McCain gets blasted for having 5 houses, Obama lives in one bought for him by a mobster. While Obama is pretty good at basketball, Palin can shoot a moose through the eye at 200 yards with a 338 Winchester Magnum. McCain’s spouse makes beer. Obama’s spouse wrote a thesis about racism is rampant in America.
Do the math on this one folks, and then get back to me with which side is actually going to connect with the American people.
Love it.
We have a winner!
Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present the next vice-president of the United States:
What else can be said? This is a brilliant move from the McCain camp. I just tried to send them an “I approve” contribution. Can’t do it. “Server too busy!”
Another Newbie
Caleb at Call Me Ahab, doing his bit to start the next generation off right.
BTW, if you haven’t checked out the Gun Nuts: The Next Generation podcast, now would be the time to do so.
Breda does her part.
Breda has done it again, this time introducing two newbies to the range.
I love it when new shooters get started…especially women or children.
The great debate
Caleb and Bonnie have posted a podcast from their weekly internet radio show on the Mike Vanderboegh kerffullfle here.
I thought it was well balanced and very informative.
Unpossible
A post of mine on gun violence, statistics and PSH over at Dod’s place.
Win a pink AR-15; support breast cancer research
Larry Correia is raffling off a pink AR to support breast cancer research. The rifle is a Stag Arms, which is an excellent manufacturer. The AR-15 is one of those guns that everyone should have. It is versatile, easy to shoot, and lots of fun. I’ll be picking up a few tickets…I promised my little girl that she could have a pink AR in a few years.
Another new shooter
Sebastian does his part and introduces another newbie to the joys of shooting. Well done, sir.
