I should say, that he did NOT receive anything in the mail about this program, that is why we are trying this over the phone (which from what I've seen should work, as long as we can find the secret code word :) ).

My family member is a life member. When he called the 877 # and talked to the lady, she told him only about the $500 program going on for annual members. He said he'd call again if I could get more detailed info. about what to ask about to make the $300 gift membership happen. Do you know what specifically he needs to ask for, or what wording will get him what we need? If he calls the 877 #, option 3, and asks about the "legacy life" program you just mentioned, is that the $300 program? Thanks.

In order for that to happen, the "gifter" would need to be a life member themselves. Existing life members have gotten a mailer. You can also call up the NRA and ask about the "Legacy Life" program.

Can you give me more details on the gift membership? Specifically, can a family member gift a life membership to me for $300, even though I am currently a yearly member? He called and tried and they told him my only choice was the $500 offer. I need to know if anyone knows if I can be "gifted" a life membership while still being a yearly member, and if so, what exactly he needs to ask on the phone to make it happen. Thanks!
