NC law is that you must inform the officer. I got pulled over and told him about the LCP. He took the gun and unloaded it. I always dread getting asked if I have weapons in the car if I get pulled over before, or after a match. I'm told not to leave anything in the open that would generate such a question, but still get concerned. Stuff like this is always good know.
