Just trying to be helpful!

I was born in Georgia and raised in Alabama. My Mother use to joke, “You poor thing - you’re double southern.”

Having married a soldier many moons ago and left the deep south for duty stations across the country, my very southern family swears I’ve lost my southern accent. Apparently out here in the Midwest where we currently reside, I haven’t lost much of it. I’m asked at least a few times a month where I’m from lol.

Anyhow, welcome to being a southerner…y’all are definitely in great company. Having been on the other side of the Mason-Dixon line for so long, I can say without reservation that some of the best folks in the country are southerners and I’m damn proud of where I come from. No matter where I live, those I consider to be “my people” are southern. I guess you can take the gal out of the south, but you can never take the south out of the gal :).

I hear you re ammo, Xrlq. I read that entry when originally published, and as I general rule I don’t buy ammo at Wal-Mart. It was an impulse buy. And Costco didn’t have the safe I wanted.

I’m actually a pretty handy bitslinger. The challenge that I have is that I have all of the aesthetic sense of a blind gorilla…I have to rely on other people’s good design sense.
